Top 4 Winter Wedding Locations in Muskoka

For anyone new to the area, or unsure of the best winter locations for photos in Muskoka, I have made a list of the very best winter locations for stunning wedding photos.

These top 4 “Must-See” locations are based on my personal experience of doing bridal makeup in Muskoka, having been part of many winter weddings. These locations created a truly beautiful and natural winter wonderland for excellent wedding day photos during the winter in Muskoka.

#4. A Magical New Years Eve Winter Wedding

Crystalized snowflakes fell gently while circling this newly married couple. The snow looked as if it was twirling and dancing in perfect harmony on this New Years’ Eve Winter Wedding.

Location: Kealls Falls, Waterfalls in Bracebridge & Muskoka Highlands Golf Links

#3. Pine Trees, Spruce Trees and Heavy Blankets of Snow.

This Outdoor Winter Wedding was a perfect match for this nature-loving couple.

The air was crisp and clear; the décor was holiday festive and the scent of pine and spruce trees spritzed the air creating that perfect natural ambiance in North Muskoka.

Location: Cottage Location, Near Arrowhead Provincial Park, North of Huntsville.

#2. The Holiday Festive Winter Wedding

This Holiday wedding was festively decorated at a luxury resort and spa on Lake Rosseau. The bride got ready beside garlands; lights and holiday trees, toasty warm beside a fire and gazing out a frosted window. The couple got the best of both worlds with spectacular snowy views and the convenience of warmth, cozy inside. Holiday Wedding Perfection at its best.

Location: Lake Rosseau, Luxury Lake Resort, Hotel and Spa

#1. The Frosty River Wedding

The snow was fresh, cascading down the branches of trees and onto the large snowbanks surrounding the river that day. Every now and then, a hint of sunshine softly peaked through the clouds, onto the freshly fallen snow. Leaving a glimmering effect in the air for these two lovebirds.

While the wedding took place at their cottage on North Branch Muskoka River, the Couple got ready with their bridal party at a river resort only minutes away. This view overlooked the North Branch Muskoka River, which connects to Lake Muskoka just outside of Bracebridge.

This river resort offered a backdrop of dark calm cool running water, in beautiful contrast against the bright white snow. It was truly a perfect intimate setting for winter wedding photos in Muskoka.

Location: Cottage on North Branch Muskoka River and Patterson Kaye Resort

I hope you enjoyed these frosty winter wonderland photo locations in Muskoka. The weddings were all perfect in their own unique way and I was so proud to be part of these special winter weddings.
